PINE RIDGE, INDIAN RESERVATION

Video Log 1: Pine Ridge Relief (1/9/09) Video Log 2: Coming Soon

From the Field: January 9th, 2009

CAN-DO secured the delivery of emergency aid to the Pine Ridge reservation on Wednesday, January 7th. We worked with sponsor HyVee Employee Owned Grocery Stores, and received incredible support and cooperation from managers Doug Dell and Brice Autry. Additionally, Wal*Mart generously provided transportation of the shipment of aid to the Pine Ridge Reservation and dropped off at Wanblee Community Center run by Gus and Terry Craven (www.nativeoutreach.org) The much needed aid was received by Terry and community leader Marian White Mouse. We were also met by residents and volunteer who helped us unload and distribute the supplies.

CAN-DO is currently in Crow Creek implementing the second stage of this project and will be posting updates soon. Shortly, we will provide an address where people can send warm clothes, blankets and other much need items.

Thank you
CAN-DO Team.
